Book Review: Yours Forever

Title: Yours Forever
Author: Nimmu
Genre: Fiction, Romance
Pages: 288
Publisher: Fingerprint! Publishing

Rating: 3.5/5

Firstly, I would like to thank Fingerprint! Publishing for sending me a copy of this book. Yours Forever by Nimmu is a story about falling in love and its consequent impediments. It is a light read and probably would appeal to young readers out there. As is the norm, I’ll be talking about the story in a short summary followed by my thoughts on the book. Let’s get on with it then!

On the first day of her residency, Sneha stumbles upon Shiva and hates him for his rude attitude. Little does she know that Shiva is her mentor at the hospital. But as fate would have it, she falls in love with the very person. Shiva, having been through a tragedy and heartbreak, doesn’t want to entertain such thoughts but can he stay away from Sneha? Will Sneha have the persistence to make him see her way?

What I Liked

The first thing that struck me was the well written narrative. It is smooth and helps the story flow in an interesting manner. A nice story line, it has its moments of romance, emotions and tragedies. All the characters were well rounded and have been given their due place and importance.

What I Did Not Like

The only negative, in my opinion, would be that it is a typical love story. Girl meets guy, hates him initially and then falls hard for him. A few heartbreaks and complications later, they come together. There’s nothing new or heart touching here . A typical Mills and Boon kinda read.

Other Details

The book is a standalone, a good romantic read.

Would I Recommend It?

If you need a break from some serious reading then you can try Yours Forever. It is ideal as a quick, weekend read.
